Parenting Diaries #COVID19 Edition – The best media to share with your children

In my previous post, I spoke about parenting choices in times of #COVID19. The choice, to take a pause and reflect upon lives we presently live; the choice, to share with our children our core values and also teach them basic life skills; the choice, to find inspiration within our homes daily experiences. There is, however, also a need to connect with the world outside our homes. What Did COVID-19 Teach Home-Schooling Parents?

UPDATE: This post was originally published in Business World magazine. Click here to view the post. Last week, I was on one of those ‘Howdy, in times of COVID-19’ calls with a friend. She asked me how home schooling for the baby was coming along. Another call started with ‘So, how is the digital classroom going for the little one?’I have since then used my response as the standard FAQ on this topic, and it goes something like this:“It’s going great.  We are following a slightly different values-based curriculum. They find it puzzling, what we adults grow to accept as normative.  I feel as strongly about the need to challenge these norms today as I did nearly a year back when we launched EqualiTee in June 2018 to challenge gender stereotypes in early childhood by introducing visual imagery through a...

EqualiTee at Kalaghoda Street Art Festival 2019

We were delighted to be a part of the iconic Kalaghoda Street Art Festival earlier this month.  In its 20th year, the event promised a fine and a wide spread of culture from cinema, theatre, literature, music, dance and of course art  installations. We were very excited to be shortlisted by the festival curators for the stalls segment featuring artists, designers, creators from all parts of the country. We showcased for a period of 5 days from 2-6 February and couldn’t have asked for a more enthusiastic response. We met people from all walks of life, 12 year old YouTubers...
